Gedney is competitive. We win more bids than we lose. This whole Gedney is expensive thing is an old myth from the days when we were the only kitchen specialist with quality products between New Haven and New London.
Gedney has expanded into semi-custom and semi-stock cabinetry giving us a wider range of pricing. We recently out bid Home Depot on a project. That client not only had a great price, they also enjoyed Gedney site visits, design, drafting, plans and service. A very real bargain.
Gedney is experienced at working with builders and architects. We know how to be a sub-contractor.
Gedney will do part of the job or the whole job. We add most value when we provide cabinetry and/or design.
Gedney does more than kitchens. Any room where functional cabinetry can be installed or built-in is our bailiwick. Home office, audio/video built-ins, laundry, mud room, bath, utility rooms, etc.
You can not start early enough to plan your project. Customers always need more time than they think to plan, specify, budget, order and schedule. Plan longer and build faster is an old adage that definitely holds true for kitchens.
Gedney is flexible. We will work with the homeowner or the homeowner’s agent doing parts of the project. Again as long as we are involved with the cabinetry we can add value.
Gedney does not charge for estimates and has a nominal fee (less than home depot) to meet at the house to measure and consult.
Gedney does not release plans or provide design service for free. Clients must retain us or give a deposit on the job to get final plans completed and released.
Gedney has a better punch list system and longer service warrantees than the rest. Like Page, service has allowed to be here so long.
